Breaking News: Minnesota Football Secures Quarterback Brady Palmer! With National Signing Day just around the corner, the Gopher Football team is making strategic moves for their 2026 recruiting class. A key focus? Adding a second quarterback to their roster, and the name you need to know is Brady Palmer.
Palmer, formerly committed to California, recently paid an official visit to the Twin Cities. But here's where it gets exciting: He's now committed to the Golden Gophers!
Minnesota's offensive coordinator, Greg Harbaugh, initially offered Palmer a spot back in the spring of 2024. However, things didn't go as planned, and Palmer chose Cal. Now, the tables have turned, and the Gophers have landed this promising athlete.
Former 247Sports national scouting analyst Greg Biggins has closely observed Palmer's performance over the past two years. Biggins is impressed by Palmer's ability to distribute the ball effectively.
"Palmer is an athletic quarterback who can challenge a defense with both his arm and his legs," Biggins noted in his evaluation. "He excels when the pocket breaks down, creatively extending plays and gaining significant yardage on the ground. He possesses a strong arm, capable of delivering the ball from various angles, whether on time or while on the run. He's a resilient leader, embodying the qualities you want in a quarterback."
What was Palmer looking for during his visit? "I want to learn more about how Minnesota develops their quarterbacks. I'm excited to see all of the facilities and most importantly the game vs Wisconsin. I'll get to see the culture of the team which I'm super excited for...from what I've heard, the culture matches me very well."
Palmer joins Illinois' Owen Lansu as the second quarterback committed to play under offensive coordinator Greg Harbaugh.
